Hensley is a member of the U.S. Women's National Team, she competed in the Olympic Winter Games (gold-2018), two International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championships (gold-2016, 2017); and two Four Nations Cups (1st-2016, 2017.)

Hensley is currently a member of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association.

Hensley played hockey at Lindenwood University where she won the Presidential NCAA Award, several All-CHA honors, and was a College Sports Information Directors of America Capital One Academic All-District At-Large First Team.
